Special opportunities to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) careers in CNY through those practicing those disciplines.

  • CNY STEM Scholarships - These scholarships are designed to support the best and brightest students in the Central New York Region in their quest to pursue science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields in college. Scholarship applications should open early November 2018.
  • STEM Career Nights - On going
  • STEM Shadow Day - Central New York will participate in the region's third CNY STEM Job Shadow Day, facilitated by Partners for Education & Business. Over 300 high school students from the area are invited to visit local STEM companies to shadow professionals, observing and assisting them with their work.
  • Students in the STEM workplace - March 15 - Students in grades 7-9 from any CNY school district can register. Max 6 students per district plus one chaperone – please coordinate with others in your district. We will send a confirmation with event details sometime before March 2.
  • Women in the STEM workplace - April 25 - A special edition of our Women in the STEM Workplace series. In addition to a tour of SRC Incís facilities and the opportunity to learn more about STEM fields from engineers at SRC, this event features a live performance about one of NASAís greatest female scientists. Ladies in grades 7-9 from any CNY school district can register. Max 6 students per district plus one chaperone – please coordinate with others in your district. We will send a confirmation with event details sometime before April 5.
